Cooking Workshop
Par rscavo | 23 dé, 2009To celebrate the end of the year, the teachers of CM2 and MSB decided to organise a cooking workshop. A simple but delicious recipe was chosen - Chocolate, Hazelnut and Candied Orange Peel Clusters. The pupils in CM2 were given copies of the recipe (in English!) and they read the instructions to the pupils in MSB. Here are the instructions for making them:
1. First, we wash our hands.
2. Then, we weigh the ingredients (chocolate, hazelnuts and candied orange peel).
3. We melt the chocolate in the microwave (see the recipe below for recommended timing and temperature).
4. Then we stir the chocolate.
5.Then we mix the melted chocolate with the hazelnuts and the candied orange peel.
6.We scoop the chocolate mixture onto a tablespoon and we put the mixture onto an oven tray with baking paper to form a 'cluster'.
7. We leave the clusters on the tray to harden.
8. When the clusters are completely dry and solid, we wrap them in the little gift bags for Christmas!
The Recipe
Ingredients
- 70 grams roasted hazelnuts and candied orange peel mixed together
- 80 grams dark chocolate
Preparation Instructions
Step 1. Melt the chocolate in a microwave for one minute. Make sure the heat is on a low setting.
Step 2. Remove the chocolate from the microwave and stir the chocolate.
Step 3. Add the candied orange peel and hazelnuts to the melted chocolate. Mix the ingredients together.
Step 4. Form chocolate clusters using a tablespoon.
Step 5. Put the clusters on an oven tray covered with baking paper.
Step 6. Leave the clusters on the oven tray to harden.
